1. Start with a deep cleanse
When it comes to beauty tips for flawless skin, cleansing is the place to start. Cleansing helps to reduce dark circles and creates a smooth, clean, even surface to your skin whatever your skin type is so you have an optimum starting point for applying makeup. Cleansers with ingredients such as rose water are particularly great as it helps soothe skin irritation and contains anti-ageing properties to help you get that clear complexion that you dream of! Use a facial wash daily to remove make-up and refresh your skin.
A couple of times a week, use a gentle exfoliator – either a brush or face wash –to help remove dead skin, clear out blackheads and stimulate blood flow for a healthy glow. Or try a clay stick mask, formulated with premium Kaolin clay to micro-exfoliate and remove the impurities that can dull the skin. By doing this you’ll need less base as your skin will gradually look better bare. It is crucial to exfoliate the skin epidermis in daily facial skin care in order to get rid of dead skin cells, prevent acne and achieve flawless skin.
2. Add a serum to your skincare routine
Serums are a great way of getting a high dose of targeted skin-perfecting ingredients that work with your moisturiser to give your skin an extra boost. Just apply after cleansing and before you put on a moisturising cream.
3. Conceal to reveal
The secret to flawless skin and bare-skin perfection is to go light on base, so you could try applying a touch of concealer instead. Stick only to the areas that need it, such as the eyes, nose, between your brows and chin, let it dry a little, then pat gently with a ring finger into your pores. You’ll be surprised how little base you need, if any, when you use concealer correctly.
4. Bring out your rosy glow with blush
We all have days when our inner glow needs a bit of a boost: that’s when blush comes to the rescue. Apply a subtle flush of rose using a brush in a circular motion on the prominent parts of your face: the apples of the cheeks to highlight your cheekbones, plus a light dusting on your brow bone, temples and chin. The aim is to build the colour gently until you’re happy with the look.
5. Healthy diet for glowing skin
Ensure your meals are packed with foods that are good for your skin such as salmon and eggs, which are rich in Omega-3 and antioxidant foods such as broccoli and spinach. These foods are vital for the health of cells and help to remove toxins from your body. Natural remedies such as Tumeric has also been known to enhance collagen production which is key when trying to achieve glowing skin.
Chia seeds are another great source of Omega-3: try them soaked overnight in milk and honey and serve with fruit for breakfast. Delicious and healthy!
6. Use sunscreen and avoid excessive sunbathing
Vitamin D is an important nutrient needed by your body and is made through sunlight exposure, however too much exposure can be dangerous and cause serious health issues. In order to help keep your skin looking flawless and acne-free, sunscreen should be used in your daily skin routine.
